Democracy. Transparency. Rule of Law
Involvement in the day to day workings of our communities makes us all richer, stronger and more fulfilled. By getting involved, we learn from each other and each offer our best, for the betterment of all. If we want strong education systems, health, protection of the vulnerable and the environment, we have to realize that this can only be achieved through the involvement of all in the day to day life of our society. Furthermore, the moments when we get involved give us glimpses of how strong we can become, together. We continue our mission to encourage citizen participation by helping shape the best digital tools for this.

Objective 1: Fair elections. Informed voters
Status: Design completed
If we want a functional and representative democracy, we need a meaningful and informed participation of as many citizens as possible in a transparent and fair electoral process. And technology can provide solutions to ensure the smooth running of the voting process, as well as better information for voters.
Without free and fair elections, there is no democracy.

Objective 2: Open data
Status: Design completed
Transparency requires, above all, free and unrestricted access to important public data. Without access to data we have no checks and balances on those who lead us. In turn, those who develop public policies cannot do so without truly understanding the phenomena they want to correct. Good decisions are based on access to data and information, whether those deciding are ordinary citizens, mayors or ministers.
We aim to equip civil society, communities and public administration with those digital tools that help them make the best decisions for the cities in which they live. To make it truly useful, we translate data into easy-to-understand information and improve data collection systems.

Objective 3: Access to legislation
Status: Design completed
The relationship between the state and the citizen is based on the observance of a set of rules, but this cannot happen if nobody knows or understands those laws.
Free access to legislation is a need, but also a right of citizens. At the same time, simple access is not enough. Understanding legal texts, deconstructing the legislative process for the general public, increasing transparency and the participation of people in public consultations are all essential components in a healthy state. Technology can help us all get closer to those who build the system and better understand how they influence our lives and what tools we have at our disposal to get involved in decision-making at the legislative level.

Objective 4: A strong civil society
Status: Design completed
NGOs work every day to make the world we live in more functional. Any problem of theirs becomes ours as well. Digital tools can support civil society, providing not only efficiency but also transparency and representation to the NGO sector.
In addition to improving the internal processes of civil society associations and organizations, technology can also facilitate access to the services they provide for everyone.

Objective 5: A better citizen-state relationship
Status: Design completed
In their relationship with the state that should serve their interests, many citizens are faced with frustration, often generated by the ineffectiveness of authorities.
In order to have a more open and operational state, better serving the interests of citizens, we aim to digitize paper-and-folder processes that consume time and resources, deteriorating the relationship between citizens and state institutions.

Objective 6: Functional local governance
Status: Design in progress
City halls and other local authorities are among the first institutions with which citizens interact in their relationship with the state. The need for better functioning internal processes is all the more felt. Functional processes, primarily internal ones, will naturally make the interactions between citizens and local governance easier and more effective.

Objective 7: Effective journalism
Status: Design in progress
The fundamental role of the press is to monitor the actions of decision-makers, observing irregularities and informing the public. The "watchdog of democracy" has been going through a period of transformation and reinvention in recent years, and is in search of those digital tools through which it can better meet current public requirements.
We aim to develop technological solutions to support journalists, tools that can be used in investigations, tools for more secure communication with sources, and tools for easier27Separatoraddexpandmore-dots data visualization.

Objective 8: Access to culture
Status: Design in progress
Culture is a determining factor in increasing quality of life, making life more meaningful, more beautiful and more harmonious. For creators, digital tools can provide better resource management, while for consumers of culture, technology can be an easier way to access artistic productions.

Objective 9: Functional central institutions
Status: Starts May 2023
In order to be able to meet the needs of citizens and provide quality public services, central institutions must first have clear and efficient processes through which to manage their internal activity. Digitization can improve the way institutions work and communicate with each other, making them not only more transparent, but also closer to the real needs of citizens.
